As VOM staff travel around the world, one of the questions we ask our persecuted brothers and sisters is, "How can we help you?"

Their request, almost every time, is a simple one: "Pray for us." They aren't asking us to pray that all of their trials and persecution will cease. They are asking us to pray that in spite of the things they suffer, God will enable them to remain faithful.

Prayer Request for my brother in law Ed De La Llave

Hello All,
   I hope everybody has a blessed week and may it go by fast so you can spend time with the family :) I have a Prayer request for my Brother in Law Ed.  I ask that you please pray for him, as he is going through some trials right now. Please pray that the Holy Spirit embraces his heart and gives him a comforting hug every once in a while. I ask that you please pray for his marriage, as he is a newlywed, that him and his wife only grower stronger together. 
   
Romans 12:12, Phil 4:13  Both these verses , tell us that we follow a wonderful God... A true God, a God that will never leave us, nor forsake us. Remember, it's not the power of prayer, it's about the God that answers the prayers.

What's God plan for Me ? Before we were born, our wonderful God had a predestined plan for us. He opens and closes door for us, and talks to us. The thing is, sometimes we don't want to listen. We have to open up our hearts and listen, What's God plan for me ?  What do you want me to learn from the situation your putting me through Lord ? Remember people, with God there are no coincidences, everything happens for a reason, now let's ask God to tell us that reason. Now, listen...

Jolanta Baggs son Kacper manages to land a small plane after both engines go out !!

Hello All,
  My dear friend Jolanta Bagg's son Kacper managed to land a small plane whose engines gave out in Jacksonville, Florida. Please take some time to read the link below and see the power our Lord has.  Our loyal God see's us through the worst of times although sometimes we sometimes forget about him, or we just get to busy with work or with things from this world. This story should open the eyes of all us and to think, with a blink of an eye, anything can happen.  Let's live each and every day as if it was our last day with our Loved Ones... New Prayer Request by Randy " Rocky " Rainey in behalf of Chris Shulse of Hannibal, MO

Hello Brothers and Sisters - our Brother Randy "Rocky" Rainey just called me with an emergency prayer request for a man named Chris. Chris is only 24 and has been diagnosed with cancer and it has spread throughout his liver, kidneys, and pancreas. The doctors have him in a drug induced coma. Chris has a wife named Casey and 3 children. Please pray for the miracles of healing and salvation for Chris and for his family, and for them to be comforted by the Peace that passes all understanding and drawn into a relationship with the true Healer - Jesus Christ.



May the Grace and Mercy of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ rest on us all.

The Wedding

The wedding.

Her name is Katie Kirkpatrick, 21 yrs old. Next to her is her fiancé, Nick, 23.

This picture was taken prior to their wedding January 11th, 2005.

Katie has terminal cancer and spends hours in chemotherapy.

Here Nick awaits while she finishes one of the sessions...

Even in pain and dealing with her organs shutting down, with the help of morphine,

Katie took care of every single part of the wedding planning.

Her dress had to be adjusted several times due to Katie's constant weight loss.

An expected guest was her oxygen tank. Katie had to use it during the ceremony and reception.

The other couple in this picture is Nick's parents, very emotional with the wedding and to see their son marrying the girl he fell in love when he was an adolescent.

In the middle of the party, Katie had to rest for a bit and catch her breath.

The pain does not allow her to stand for long period of time.

Katie died 5 days after her wedding. To see a fragile woman dress as bride with a beautiful smile makes you think... Happiness is always there within reach, no matter how long it lasts.....

Lets enjoy life and don't live a complicated life. Life is too short.





Work as if it was your first day.

Forgive as soon as possible.

Love without boundaries..

Laugh without control

And never stop smiling.

Please pray for those suffering from cancer.

Holy Bible vs Cell Phone

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?


What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several time a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to Kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we travelled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing.

Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.

Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities? And no dropped calls!

When Jesus died, he was thinking of you!

Satan's World Wide Convention

Satan recently called a worldwide convention of demons to catch up with


the strong and growing Christian Movement;In his opening address he said,


"We can't keep Christians away from going to church."

"We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth."

"We can't even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with

their saviour."


"Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is

broken."

"So let them go to their churches; let them have their covered dish

dinners, BUT steal their time, so they don't have time to develop a

relationship with Jesus Christ.."


"This is what I want you to do," said the devil:


"Distract them from gaining hold of their Saviour and maintaining that

vital connection throughout their day!"


"How shall we do this?" his demons shouted.


"Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable

schemes to occupy their minds," he answered.


"Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow."


"Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to

work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their

empty lifestyles."


"Keep them from spending time with their children."


"As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from

the pressures of work!"

"Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small

voice."


"Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they

drive." To keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their

home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays

non-biblical music constantly."


"This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ."


"Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers."


"Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day."


"Invade their driving moments with billboards."


"Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes,

and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products,

services and false hopes.."


"Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and TV so their husbands

will believe that outward beauty is what's important, and they'll become

dissatisfied with their wives. "


"Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at night."


"Give them headaches too! "


"If they don't give their husbands the love they need, they will begin

to look elsewhere."


"That will fragment their families quickly!"

"Even in their recreation, let them be excessive."

"Have them return from their recreation exhausted."


"Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect on God's creation.

Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and

movies instead."


"Keep them busy, busy, and busy!"


"And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and

small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences."


"Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek

power from Jesus."


"Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their

health and family for the good of the cause."


"It will work!"

It was quite a plan!


The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians

everywhere to get busier and more rushed, going here and there.

Having little time for their God or their families.

Having no time to tell others about the power of Jesus to change lives.

I guess the question is, has the devil been successful in his schemes?

How to Stay Young

HOW TO STAY YOUNG




1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them'


2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.


3. Keep learning.Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.'


4. Enjoy the simple things.


5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.


6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.


7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.


8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.


9. Don't take guilt trips.Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.


10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.


AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:


Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

The Blind Girl

The Blind Girl...

There was


a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She

hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always

there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see

the world, I will marry you.'


One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her.. When the bandages

came off, she was able to see everything, including her

boyfriend.



He asked her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The

girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The

sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected

that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life

led her to refuse to marry him.



Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her

saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before

they were yours, they were mine.'



This is how the human brain often works when our status changes.

Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who

was always by their side in the most painful situations.



Life Is a Gift...

Today before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't

speak.



Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone

who has nothing to eat.



Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone

who's crying out to GOD for a companion.



Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who went

too early to heaven.



Before whining about the distance you drive Think of someone who

walks the same distance with their feet.



And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the

unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your

job.



And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on

your face and think: you're alive and still

Kaka's Testimony ( soccer player from Milan Soccer Club )

JUST LIKE A PRAYER ... Kaka looks to the heavens after winning the Champions League with Milan

The Brazilian says football plays second fiddle in a life which has beendevoted to Christianity.

Just weeks ago he became involved with the Billy Graham organisation in a TV campaign which had an astonishing effect in his homeland. It was nationally reported that: Hundreds of people were freed from demonic possession.

Hardened criminals turned to Christianity in their thousands. Many more were cured of booze and drug addictions. A former voodoo princess turned to Christ.

As the campaign launched, Kaka told millions: "I truly cannot imagine mylife without Christ. Everything I haveaccomplished, everything I have done in my life was because God has a plan and purpose for my life. The Bible says He will do more than we ever thought or imagined, and this is truly how it has been. If God wasn't in my life, then my life certainly would not be like this." The Brazilian's faith in God has been broadcast across the world via an iconic picture of him on his knees celebrating a goal and showing a T-shirt which proclaims, 'I belong to Jesus.'
    Kaka, 26, has won a World Cup and the Champions League as well as been named FIFA World Player of the Year. But he told 10 million fellow Brazilians that nothing compared with the peace of knowing and serving Christ.
    He said: "I have been named best soccer player in the world. This for me was a great honour. But the greatest honour is serving Jesus Christ, because he gives me hope."
     Such is the depth of the star's faith he refused to have sex before his marriage to Caroline. He said: "I am a great example. The majority of people say after marriage, they don't like jumping into bed with their partner because there is no desire. However, this is not true, my wife is the person I love and it was worth waiting. A lot of people were surprised and shocked with me but I think it's the best decision. I am an evangelist and I believe in those values. I think people need to prevent themselves from making love before marriage. Everyone has their opinion but I think it was worth the wait."

The Brazilian's faith in the Almighty was strengthened immensely in 2000 when he fractured his neck after cracking his head on the bottom of a swimming pool. Kaka said: "That helped shape me,
principally as a person, but as a player too.It was a time in which I learned you have to give your best every single day because the next day you might not be able.

     The doctors said I was very lucky, that I could have been paralysed. But I think it was God - He saved me from something worse. I had gone to visit my grandparents in Caldas Novas in Brazil and I slipped on a swimming pool slide. When I fell into the water I hit my head on the bottom of the pool and twisted my neck, which caused a fracture of a vertebra.

All I knew was that anyone with a broken neck would be disabled for life.

The doctor told me I would not be able to play for at least three months, then they would be able to tell if I was going to fully recover. But after two months the injury had healed and I was able to resume my football career. That was when I knew God was looking after me and that He was on my side."
     Kaka says one of the chief influences on his footballing life has been Chelsea boss Phil Scolari. He said: "When I was just 20 he took me to the World Cup in 2002 and gave me the opportunity to be a champion which was very important."

    He said: "If things happen it's because God has prepared me. God has great things for us."

Prayer Request for Heather's Husband

Good Morning,
We have a special prayer request, requested by Heather Cruz. Her husband Brett Cruz ‬
is going in for an interview with VSI Meters, please say a prayer for him that he gets this job. They are currently having some difficulties and this job would help ease the struggles. Please keep them in constant prayer for the next few days that the Lord will give them the strength, the faith and the love for one another as they overcome this obstacle. Please pray that their marriage will only grow from this trial, as God is putting this in front of them for a reason.

Emmanuel Baptist Church VBS 8-2-10 to 8-6-10

Hello All,
  Today was day 2 of our VBS.  We had a great turn out.  We had approx 30 kids more or less as we kept getting a few last minute kids arrive during our worship time.  I am posting a few pictures of what our day lloked like today. We had a great teaching regarding Joseph's Recall's God Provision Genesis 45: 1-14. 
  We had some great input from the kids and I felt as the Holy Spirit just took over and re arranged my teachings and I just went with the flow.  If your reading, thank you Peggy for adding that special 'Touch',

These are only a few pictures I got to take with my phone today.  We have Ms Gretta giving me pictures so I can continue to post through out the week.  Please keep the kids, the teachers, the whole week in prayer, may the Lord inspire all of us during this week, let see how many more Kids can accept Christ in their life...

Emmanuel Baptist Church VBS 8-2-10 to 8-6-10

Hello All,
  We will be having our annual VBS at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Fallbrook, California. Please pray that we get alot of kids this year and they come to know Christ.  I will be teaching Tuesday and Wednesday, please pray for me so the Lord uses to reach a kid who does not know Christ. Please pray that the Lord will keep the VBS teachers strong and full of the Holy Spirit.

We have a prayer request by one of our fellow brothers, Chris Shulse. His father in law was rushed to the hospital. He had fainted and was unresponsive .
Here's the latest information we have from Chris Shulse:
Hello All,
Thank you for your prayers. Wayne is being kept overnight in the hospital for observation. The doctor's aren't sure what happened to him, maybe some kind of seizure. He is responsive now, but can only remember being dizzy and disoriented. Please continue to keep him in your payers and that God would guide the doctors to the answer.
